How To Improve Your Memory

A new study has just been released which proves meditation increases your brain size, especially in the areas responsible for memory, learning, emotions and stress. 


The participants all underwent MRI brain scans prior to commencing the study, and then again after completing their 8 week meditation course. 


The scans revealed an increase in the left hippocampas which is the structure in the brain which controls memory, learning and emotional regulation.


Other areas of the brain which resulted in change after completion of the course included the posterior cingulate cortex which is also the control centre for memory, emotions, and movement and coordination.


Those who were a part of the study but did no meditation showed no changes in their brain after the 8 week period was up.
